Article Readings # 25: DEPED, CHED, TESDA START DRAFTING K-12 PROGRAM IRR

REACTION:

Starting school year 2012-2013, our government has implemented a new school curriculum called K-12 Program. This program is implemented to improve the competitiveness of our country's graduates, since the ten-year basic education is deemed inadequate for work and higher education.

DepEd said this K-12 will allow the graduates to have middle level skills and will offer them better opportunities to be employed or become entrepreneurs.

Why is it that our country has to follow the trend? Can we not stand by our own? There is nothing wrong in being the only one.

But will this program assure a student that he will be indeed have a good after 12 years of schooling? Lets be hopeful that our government should tailor all the policies well so that success will surely be achieved.
