REACTION:
The 12-year basic education program of our country has yielded plenty of reactions, comments, suggestions and even debates from the parents, students, teachers, law-makers or even from the community. Parents were violently reacting for the additional 2 years in high school because it seems to be an additional burden in their part precisely to those who are below poverty line. Students were murmuring because it is an additional struggle for them in their secondary course.
However, this new educational program or curriculum is somewhat the best program at present but how could we attain our objectives and goals if we don't have sufficient funds or budget to suffice all the necessary or needed materials or facilities and equipments in the implementation of this program? Workbooks and modules were being delivered late. Some schools received modules which are not applicable to their learning institution because they don't have enough facilities to handle such technology and livelihood education. The department has no enough teachers to be deployed in the field of vocational courses. Their teaching is somewhat awkward to their field of expertise.
These are just few of the things that I have recently observed. If these situations are always existing in the arena of the education department then I would firmly state that whatever programs we wish to implement that would simply turn into a fiasco.
Finally, achieving change for the better does not only on the matter of establishing new program but rather a full and strict implementation for it to be realized.
